Flight Centre Travel Group today announced that it has added a third member to its Digital Commerce Advisory Board. Accomplished retail strategist Kimberly Nemser of Warby Parker, joins Nicolas Brusson, CEO of the leading French technology company BlablaCar and Boston-based travel tech investor and entrepreneur, Hugh Crean.
The advisory board will work with Flight Centre executives and its board of directors to provide informed guidance on e-commerce, retail technologies, mobile commerce, business intelligence and data management.
“Kim is a great addition to the advisory board and we look forward to learning from her extensive retail experience. After years at J. Crew and now Warby Parker, Kim has a great perspective on how to successfully operate at the intersection of online and offline,” said Atle Skalleberg, Chief Digital Officer, Flight Centre Travel Group.
Following her graduation from Dartmouth, Nemser began her career in the financial services world with roles at UBS and The Blackstone Group. After a few years with luxury brands at Tod’s she spent seven years as a vice president at J. Crew. Nemser is currently a vice president at Warby Parker and based in NYC.
Speaking on her appointment to Flight Centre’s Digital Advisory Board, Nemser said, “I am excited by the opportunity to work with such an accomplished group. We all come to the table with different vantage points on brand building and the evolution of the retail environment.”
