Flight Centre Offers Good Start To Parents

FLIGHT Centre Travel Group has announced a new partnership with Goodstart Early Learning Group which will allow its working parents to access discounts across Goodstart’s 641 childcare centres Australia-wide from 2018.

The discounts on offer will vary from centre to centre based on current capacity and waitlisting but will range from 5% to 15%. A family has the potential to save up to $3,510 per year, per child for full time care.

FCTG Global Peopleworks Leader Carole Cooper said this partnership was part of the company’s commitment to supporting parents as they return to full or part-time employment.

“We’re wholly committed to supporting our parents and assisting them with the right work environment and tools that allow them to return to full or part-time employment,” Ms Cooper said.

Complementing the new partnership with Goodstart is a proactive approach by the travel heavyweight to offer flexible working arrangements for all its people.

“Every role in our company is flexible. Skroo’s (company MD) role is flexible to allow him to squeeze in a weekly game of lunch-time touch footy and we extend that same flexibility to all our people.

“Having a flexible workforce is as beneficial for our company as it is for our people and when you are a parent, creating the right work/life balance for your family’s wellbeing is extremely important,” Ms Cooper said.

FCTG employs more than 10,000 people across Australia and 75% of its global workforce is women.
